Shahid Afridi..what a player. He still holds the record for the fastest century in one day international cricket which he scored with a borrowed bat in 1996. More than a decade later he has turned himself into a highly effective bowler in limited overs format. He had pretty much lost his batting touch, but found it at the crucial point and the South Africans in the ICC World Twenty20 semi final. What a time to strike form! His quick fire fifty hepled Pakistan to a good competetive total, which was always going to be tough considering Pakistan’s bowling consisting of Gul, Ajmal and Afridi himself.
