Sri Lanka batted superbly in the opener of the ICC Champions trophy 2009. Tillakaratne Dilshan played a brilliant knock of 106 runs off 92 balls with 16 FOURS and a SIX. South Africans bowlers started off well by picking up Sanath Jayasuriya in the 3rd over but after that Dilshan made it miserable with his brilliant knocks all around the ground. Along with Dilshan were the skipper Sangakkara and Jayawardene. Sangakkar smashed a brilliant 54 runs with 5 FOURS and Jayawardene played an equivalent superb knock of 77 runs with 8 FOURS and a SIX. Sri Lanka ended with 319 for 8 in 50 overs but the target is not that easy for the no. 1 team.
