Australia winning the toss and decided to BAT first on pitch that looks just amazing for BATTING. Sunil Gavaskar said in the pitch report that its a bat first pitch and you can expect 600-runs today. Aussies live up to the expectation despite of their depleted team. Watson and Marsh batted superbly for 1st wicket and gave Aussies the brilliant start. Indian bowlers looks to be lost and fielding also was very poor. Indians dropped some catches and fielding was also too sloppy.
Fall of Wickets (Australia Innings):
1-145 Shane Watson (25.2 ov), 2-236 Ricky Ponting (38.5 ov), 3-270 Shaun Marsh (42.5 ov), 4-350 Cameron White (50 ov)
Indians started their chase to 351 runs quite steadily but Sehwag did not able to get hold of Innings and was the first one to get out. Gambhir too got out to early. Sachin holding up his side and played a brilliant innings of 175 runs but his effort alone could not help the Indian team to win the match. raina too played a good innings of 59 runs along with Sachin and at that time it was looking very certain that India can win but they failed to deliver after Riana and Sachin got out.
