India players messed up everything in the must win game for them. The top order fumbled like that don’t even know how to bat on a pitch like this. The top five batsman were out for a just 27 runs on the scorecard. None of the batsman managed to withstand the Aussies bowling attack. But Jadeja and Praveen Kumar played a superb inning and helped India to put up a score of 170 (not enough for the Aussies).
Fall of Wickets (India Innings)
1-7 Virender Sehwag (0.4 ov), 2-7 Gautam Gambhir (1 ov), 3-23 Sachin Tendulkar (5.1 ov), 4-24 Yuvraj Singh (8 ov), 5-27 Suresh Raina (9 ov), 6-75 MS Dhoni (30.1 ov), 7-75 Harbhajan Singh (30.3 ov), 8-149 Ravindra Jadeja (44.1 ov), 9-170 Ashish Nehra (47.4 ov), 10-170 Munaf Patel (48 ov)
Australia coming to bat have nothing much to get to clinch the series. 170-runs is a small target for the Aussies and they managed to chase that with a loss of just 4-wickets only. Australia now leads the series by 4-2 so they have already won the series but will India be able to win the last ODI. Bowling department is a major worry despite the unexpected performance by the top order.
Fall of Wickets (Australia Innings)
1-24 Shaun Marsh (4.3 ov), 2-85 Shane Watson (19 ov), 3-90 Ricky Ponting (20.4 ov), 4-143 Cameron White (36.3 ov)
