India vs Pakistan
After the exciting T20 series game now shifts to 50-50 overs games. India came back strongly in the last T20 to level the series. Pakistan has been superb in the series. They have bowled and batted beautifully so far. Misbah-ul-Haq, ODI skipper for Pakistan will be looking for the same intensity in the ODIs as well.
Pakistan has a lot of changes in the ODI squad both in batting and bowling. Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Irfan were retained for ODIs after their superb show in T20s.
For India, Virender Sehwag will return to the squad and it will interesting who will open now for India. Ajinkya Rahande gave India a good start in T20s but will he be retained? The same question will be for Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. In the bowling department, India is expected to bring Amit Mishra in the squad with Chennai pitch assisting the spinner.
The only downside in the first ODI will be the weather. It’s been raining for the past two days in Chennai and rain has been predicted for tomorrow as well. We hope to see the game even if it’s a 20 overs a side rather than a washout.
