BCCI announced the Indian squad for the first two test of the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka 2009 Series to be played in India. Zaheer Khan is fit and is ready to get back into the action. Sreesanth has been given a chance to prove himself with his peformance. Sreesanth has last played for India in 2008 and was out due to injury and his attitude towards the game. He was recently issued a final warning by the BCCI. So this is the chance for him to prove his potential.

Zaheer who was out due to shoulder injury has passed the fitness test and is ready to join the Indian team. He was last seen in the T20 World Cup in June. Along with these two selectors have also called up Pragyan Ojha, left arm spinner, and the Tamil Nadu pair of M Vijay and S Badrinath as reserve batsmen.
