After the Twenty20 World Cup the next big tournament is going to start today with two strong teams South Africa and Sri Lanka will be fighting in the opener of the ICC Champions Trophy 2009. South Africa are in their top forms and they have a wonderful warm-up game against the West Indies. West Indies are not at their very best but still South African batsman got a good chance to get things going their way. South Africa record in the ICC world series are not that good in the recent past. South Africa have lost two World Cup semi-finals, one World Twenty20 semi-final, and three Champions Trophy semi-finals.
Sri Lankans on the other hand are quite consistent. They recently won the test series against the New Zealand but lost the Tri-Series between India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand to India. Sri Lankans batsman n bowlers are in their top forms and are definitely looking to be the top contenders of the ICC Champions trophy 2009. Sri Lankans are not that bad in the ICC world tournament like the South Africans. They have lost a World Cup final and semi-final each, a World Twenty20 final, and shared a Champions Trophy final.
