The last match was a complete washout at the Wanderers, Johannesburg. So now its a 4-match ODI series and action has yet to begin. South Africa suffered a major blow when their main batsman cum bowler Jacques Kallis was ruled out of the ODI series due to rib injury. The team which looks very much in shape in the 2nd Twenty20 game have to think about their game plan. Kallis was set to open with Smith but now they need some replacement. Hashim Amla n Loots Bosman are the two options available and referring to the last twenty20 matches Bosman looks to be in his superb form.
England on the other side is too facing injury problem in their camp. Stuart Broad (shoulder) and Graeme Swann (side) already ruled out of the match, but the delayed start to the series will have helped Paul Collingwood and James Anderson recover from their injuries. Since 1st match was washout so there is no room for errors for both the teams. England and South Africa have proved their strengths in the 2-Twenty20 matches but this is altogether a different format. South Africa has been playing good cricket from past one year or so and will be giving their best to dominate the series right from the 1st match.
