Colin Ingram:‘ I have enjoyed it. Glad to be contributing. I suppose it worked out well. Hopefully I can carry on like this. I just enjoyed batting with some of the other guys. We ran well between the wickets and the partnership ticked along. Magical knock from Behardien.’

Colin Ingram is the Man of the Match

AB de Villers: ‘ Very proud of the boys. The Pakistan bowlers were bowling well up front. Credit to Hashim and Smith who batted well. Colin played a great knock and congrats to him. We hadn’t played good ODI cricket lately and were looking forward to this game. This win is a huge step in a good direction. I was very proud of the way the bowlers bowled. Picking wickets at regular intervals was important and Pakistan could never get going. Kleinveldt is a very mature performer and knows his game inside out. McLaren is playing on his home ground and thanks to the crowd for coming out in droves to support him. Really looking forward to playing in front of my home-crowd in the next match.’

Misbah-Ul-Haq: ‘ I think the way the ball was moving, 270-280 could have been chaseable. We could not exploit the conditions well. The wicket became easier for batting. The first 10-15 overs were crucial and they did well to not lose wickets. I think we need to work a bit on our death bowling and fielding. We bowled too many boundary balls. If we could have saved 30-40 runs, we could have chased it down.’
