Pakistan’s hope of striking back in the two-match Twenty20 series was doused when rain forced the first T20 to be called off on Friday. But the second tie on Sunday at SuperSport Park, Centurion give both the teams a chance to win the series.
The rain played spoilsport to the first outing in Durban and the prediction for the second are also not encouraging. However, the crowd will hope for a bright sunny day to spend their off day well with some cricket action.
Now five of South African current Test players are in the T20 squad – Faf du Plessis, who has been appointed captain in the shortest format, AB de Villiers, Robin Peterson, Rory Kleinveldt and new pace sensation Kyle Abbott.
The second Twenty20 will decide the two-match series after the first one was washed out in Durban.
On the other hand Pakistan will be led by Mohammad Hafeez, who will be confident with the inclusion of senior players Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik. Moreover, the Akmal brothers – Kamran and Umar who were not part of the Test side could boost the batting line-up of the visitors.
